My dear sweetheart
Have just finished writing about seven letters and am rather tired.
This one will probably take the least effort but the most time.
Who cares! I can feel Winnie's warm furr on one of my feet - if I move
the foot she might waken. She does sleep rather peacefully.
I suppose this has been a long day for you. I bet that right now your so
sound asleep that you are making up for lost time.
Today I was really relaxed and myself again. I must admit that there's plenty
of work to handling an affair as we just had. No wonder I needed two drinks every fifteen minutes.
By the looks of things at the present time, I sure have a lot of work ahead.
Today a lady gave me quite a nice job to install. That is in addition to the rest of the work I figured in the last few days. Well that's good for a
change.
Tonight I haven't a thing to call you down for. While things do look shady some
times, as far as my behavior is concerned, probably most of it can be traced to my restlessness. I'm going to try to set a better standard and to
awaken some of your respect. After all it won't be long till things will be as we have a right to expect.
Maybe things will be much better for both of us if I could regain some of your respect and
love and confidence. I want all this more than anything else in the world.
The dance Saturday night is for Elks and friends but strictly invitational. I'll have
a bid for Andy so it will be all right. I hope I show you the nicest time you ever had next week end. I don't know how you should dress but it is informal
as far as men are concerned. I suppose if you have on your new dress or something that will be all right. I'm going to figure on a blue suit. I sure am all in -
can't write almost. Answer if you have something to suggest or say.
Love, Your tired boy,
Marino
