My Darling Sweetheart
I am sitting here in my "office" just checking things over and at my feet is a little baby girl
only she is a dog - she's trying to chew me up and is starting with my shoelaces.
It's about 10:o'clock P.M. and I am going to mail this before I go to bed. It was very hot today -
but not like yesterday.
You will be glad to hear what I have to say, though you've heard it so many times you can't believe it
- I guess.
I am not going to make any more promises - of any kind - but I hope that from now on I can be the kind of man
you want me to be, and hope you see a marked difference in me.
I want you and I both to have fond and glad and pleasant memories. Perhaps many of our troubles and
grievances will disappear then and we will really be able to enjoy life.
The next time we are together I want you to not say anything but just be sweet to me - or just anything you
wish to be. For the fact remains that I haven't yet proven I love you - and I do - with all my heart.
Business is rotten - but what's the difference. It doesn't get any better complaining - nothing does.
I won't be up till Wednesday night as will be working away from home all day tomorrow, and may get home
late.
You can decide in the meantime where you wish to go Wed nite - even walking or may be swimming.
Will close with many loving thoughts and wish you were here.
With Love Yours forever
Marino
