Dearest Marian,
I was greatly disappointed not to find you home Sat nite especially
as I could not stay and wait for you. I had a large truck full of material and a fellow with me. As the truck was loaned me by a
friend I had to use it Sat afternoon and be back with it Sun nite so he could have it back for work on Monday morning.
It certainly did pour. Lucky we didn't have tire trouble. It took over
5 hours to make less than 90 miles.
As it happened it rained so hard we couldn't have done much over the weekend.
The owner is in a big hurry to get done over here - and it won't hurt my feelings any when we are through. In case it rains hard over Sat and
Sunday I won't be home but will come over for X-mas. We are having X-mas at Santa's.
I haven't done any buying as yet - if I can I will go to Stockton
or Sacramento to buy a few things but not much as I am not able to financially.
Could you get away for Dec. 28th? Cause I got two tickets for the Stanford -
Army football game at Palo Alto on that day. Please let me know immediately as I will sell the tickets otherwise.
I sure am lonesome for you - it seems like months since I last saw you .
Our home is like - ruins. Everything shot to pieces - I even hate to go near it - all wet and rotting. I haven't been feeling
so good -- my stomach has been bothering me and everything seems to go wrong. I haven't even been to show once -- but just feel blue sometimes.
Won't you answer?
Yours with Love
Marino
